It seems pretty perfect for taking a dark and gritty angle with. 12 or 13 named characters, recognized by millions as a good Children's story and no individual concrete character traits. I would be genuinely excited to get into that kind of story.

2021.12.03 00:07 rebellious_ltl_pony How can I possibly afford childcare full time?
I'll try to keep this short! Maybe it's more of a vent. My child just turned 13 months old. I've decided I really need to get back to my office 5 days per week.
For the first 3 months, I was with him 24/7 on maternity leave. My husband took two weeks of leave and then one week per month for 6 months. My dad's girlfriend then watched the baby all summer. It was a great setup!
So our setup since September has been me in the office 3 days per week and trying to work remotely the other 2 days. This was manageable before baby was mobile. I work a demanding job and trying to squeeze my work into those 3 days has been insanely stressful but I've been trying to make it work for the sake of spending time with my baby and keeping daycare costs low.
Daycare 3 days/week cost about $900 per month for us, and we just found out there is a tuition rate increase. So to bring it to 5 days/week will cost almost $1600 for us starting in January! I am not sure how to afford this...it's more than double my mortgage! It's keeping me up at night.
I pulled my baby from a shitty daycare which cost less because they were sending him home with crumbs on his butt from not being wiped fully, food on his face, he was miserable and the owner of the daycare was unprofessional in every way possible. I was so thrilled to get him into this amazing daycare so quickly but shit...I had no idea there was going to be a rate increase so soon after we started! He's only been there one month! They're great, wonderful, they send art home, they post constant updates in the app, they communicate and seem to genuinely care about my baby. But I have no idea where this money is going to come from! I don't qualify for any local/state/federal assistance, my income is too high but it's still tight.
Anyone else feeling this stress?! SOS!

2021.12.03 00:07 Chiss_Navigator Touring Companies
Has anyone worked with companies like Networks, Troika, Feld, or Cirque? If so, what sort of work did you do for them and how was your experience? These tours tend to be very long and I'm not sure if it's common for them to quickly burn through people to - literally - keep the show on the road compared to house gigs.

2021.12.03 00:07 Icy_Set9256 How much does the test try to trick you on State vs. Federal? (Also tricky phrasing in general)
So I'm going to attempt to express my thoughts in here the best I can...
I've just started studying for the 66 a week ago, and I'm worried to say the least. I passed both the SIE and S7 first try, but not without its caveats. I've been studying for these tests like I need to get 100s because my job is contingent on it, making full on study guides, and end up taking too long and ultimately forgetting materials. But it's the only way I know how to study. I can't stand the feeling of missing information, even if I know deep down I'm inevitably GOING to miss information if I get too anxious and nitpicky with how I study.
With that said, this test is an absolute nightmare for someone like me. I've always HATED law and regulation and the fact that it is a complex, repetitive, and oftentimes contradictory science.
Perfect example being how a person who performs B/D functions but doesn't have an office in a state and only has institutional clients there does not meet the definition of a "B/D" at all, but a person who performs IA functions but doesn't have an office in a state and has only institutional clients there meets the definition of an IA but is considered exempt.
Another example being how banks and bank holding companies, but not IA subsidiaries of banks, do not federally meet the definition of an IA, and on the flip side banks, savings institutions, and trust companies, but not bank holding companies, do not meet the state definition of an IA. (BTW this isn't mentioned once in my textbook, but is mentioned in my virtual lecture. Another nightmare for someone like me)
I guess what I'm saying is, how often does the test get super granular with stuff like this? Like I totally understand that if you're a firm located in California that only transacts with institutions in Colorado, you're not required to register as a B/D with the state. But as for if you are a B/D vs. exempt? Will something like that ever be tested? (Again, this is not a specific question. I understand there's not really any exempt B/Ds, you just are one or you aren't, so it's pretty easy to tell if you know which have to register. But it's meant to be indicative). Or something like, to my knowledge, if you are the agent of a B/D located in NY whose only clients are mutual funds in DE, you have to register in both states but the B/D only registers in NY?
To summarize, it'd just put my mind at ease to know I'm overthinking it and as long as you know general rules where there's an assumption that there's one type of person/individual, figure out which ones apply/don't, rather than these overly-complicated questions with caveats abound.

2021.12.03 00:07 Throwawaysongcg After 3 dates I’m checking to see if he’s logged on tinder and I’m driving myself crazy
I [f34] on 3 wonderful dates with a someone [m36] I met on tinder. The third date was especially magical. He stayed overnight and we cooked a romantic meal together, snuggled all night, and drank coffee and talked until noon the next day.
We have talked about how we long term want a life partner but want to take it slow. After date 3 we decided to have no other unprotected partners but that’s the only “commitment” we have made. I am really, really into him from what I’ve seen so far.
I’m driving myself crazy by checking to see if he’s using tinder. Judging by his location changes, he is. And of course he is! We have been on only 3 dates and we are not exclusive… but it still triggers this anxiety in me every time I see his location change. Does any else do this?
